Help !
When I get started , it shows "Video Playback Disabled Indeo viedo codec not available"
So, what can I do ?
Is that means I can't play the video in WIN 10 ?
I've struggled for 4 hours for that.

you can play it on Linux, but needs some tweaks. I recommend "Fedora" flavour, as it has everything you need for gaming as default (https://getfedora.org/en/workstation/download/). Once install of Fedora is done, boot up, create your user etc, then go to sw, when prompted accept to install supplementary repositories. Search for steam, install it, and launch it.
Launch the game once, playback will fail, close the game.
Then, search for "Terminal". Open In there, type "sudo dnf install protontricks", it will ask for your passwd, type it.
Then, in the same terminal type protontricks 427680 icodecs, after a bit of time, you will be greeted by an installer from the 90's >< select custom when you have the choice of what to install, and only install stuff with "codec" in the name, otherwise it shall crash.
And then, go back to the game, and enjoy cinematics :)

NOTE1: you should be able to play most of your games on Fedora, so you can stay there if you want instead of booting back to windows ;P
NOTE2: yes, getting this OP to play is kind of a pain :)

Someone recently posted an answer to this issue on the GOG forums for this game. I've tried it with my copy from there and it works as expected.

You can also just create a .bat file with the following and RUN it as an ADMINISTRATOR before launching the game. Just be sure to continue the .bat file after finishing your play session to uninstall the codec. (Will get an error when uninstalling, but will uninstall anyways)
regsvr32 c:\windows\sysWOW64\ir50_32.dll
@pause
regsvr32 /u c:\windows\sysWOW64\ir50_32.dll

I'm a time traveler from the far, distant future year of 2024 and I came here to say how helpful this reply is and thank you!
