Launch the game once, playback will fail, close the game.
Then, search for "Terminal". Open In there, type "sudo dnf install protontricks", it will ask for your passwd, type it.
Then, in the same terminal type protontricks 427680 icodecs, after a bit of time, you will be greeted by an installer from the 90's >< select custom when you have the choice of what to install, and only install stuff with "codec" in the name, otherwise it shall crash.
And then, go back to the game, and enjoy cinematics :)
NOTE1: you should be able to play most of your games on Fedora, so you can stay there if you want instead of booting back to windows ;P
NOTE2: yes, getting this OP to play is kind of a pain :)

You can also just create a .bat file with the following and RUN it as an ADMINISTRATOR before launching the game. Just be sure to continue the .bat file after finishing your play session to uninstall the codec. (Will get an error when uninstalling, but will uninstall anyways)
