how to play the tutorial

I've done the whole game 1.5 times at this point, and my only remaining achievement is to complete the tutorial. How do I do this? I didn't "skip" the tutorial either time I started the game; there just wasn't one.

i managed to get the tutorial to start by creating a new player profile and selecting regular difficulty.
