Heavy flickering under Wayland
I'd like to play Factorio on my Linux machine under Wayland. Sadly there is some heavy flickering a.i. the screen having black frames every couple of seconds up to a complete black screen for a couple of seconds.

These are my specs:
Os; Fedora 39 (Kernel 6.7.3)
CPU: Amd Ryzen 1600X
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 1060 6GB (Driver: 545.29.06-3)

I do run the game with V-Sync on a 60Hz monitor.
Not sure if there's something i can do for further troubleshooting.
Any tips or ideas are welcome!

Edit: I did try setting the SDL_VIDEODRIVER environment variable (and i also have SDL2 installed) but that didn't change anything.

Since you're running an Nvidia card under wayland, you have a whole extra set of potential problems. So it'll be hard to pin down.

Seems about right. Searching for issues in the "open-gpu-kernel-modules" Github repo shows that people are still struggling with flickering issues on basically all driver versions.
I suppose it's not a Factorio issue then.
I've also read somewhere that having multiple screens can cause issues as well which adds another potential cause to the problem...yay
