Biters expanding across water

I used waterfill to prevent biters from expanding into my base and for some reason they keep creating nests near one of my outposts. I've cleared out the area completely several times but don't know how they keep creating nests.

Can you check your upload or upload it to a different host?

Make sure that there is no unexplored territory where biters could come from, if you are using mods then consider that biters can cross shallow water,
If you still have this issue and are using mods then provide the list of mods you are using.

Yeah, can't see the image. Another thing to be aware of is that biters can decide to expand to a location that is technically within their usual range but requires them to take a long, indirect route because of obstacles like water or cliffs. So if you've got, for example, a large lake with a peninsula on your side almost reaching the other side, where biters are, they can decide to expand onto the peninsula and path all the way around the lake to get there, even if no other biter nests are on that side of the lake.

I'm guessing that's the sort of thing that is happening, unless your screenshot shows that your base is completely walled off with a moat/other obstacles.
