Game files corrupted

The level.dat file is missing from my multiplayer game save file (and all the autosaves). Not sure if this is as a result of the new update or some steam syncing issue. Any help would be appreciated. I have no mods (this was my first game) and am playing on a mac.

They accidentally pushed the 1.1 update to everyone and had to revert it back to 1.0. If you played during that then the save got converted to 1.1 format and the 1.0 version can't load it. You need to either wait for 1.1 to become stable or switch to 1.1 beta.
