Game Save and autosave reverted to 13 days previous?

Hi I started Factorio this morning and found that my save game file and all 3 autosaves were 13 days old. I have been playing fairly regularly and probably played nearly 20 hours since March 2, and saving to the same main save file at the end of each session. The autosaves was doing its work. The last save I did was on March 15th at about 12:30 am then when I re-launched at 8:30 am on March 15th the save game and all autosaves were dated March 2nd.

I made no changes to my save file locations or settings, or mod changes, however may have updated mods to latest version, but not sure when that was done.

I am running Factorio version 0.17.79-0

Is there any other location that would be holding these save files?

What could cause this issue?

Any thoughts?

The most likely reason is steam's cloud saves, you can have issues due to a fairly large array of issues with it in factorio because unike most games the saves can be both in large number and take a lot of space, and if for whatever reason the upload of your save doesn't complete properly it will instead download the old one next time you launch the game.

TL;DR: turn cloud saves off for factorio.

+1 for disabling steam cloud for factorio. use a thumb drive if you need to take saves with you.
