Molten Iron/Copper Circuit Signal
I'm currently on Vulcanus setting up some Iron/Copper tanks and while trying to connect them to some combinators I noticed I wont get any output signal from it.
Sure, I just can take any symbol, but this sprite is necessary :D
Any Ideas?

And yeah I do not know whose smart idea it was to use the exact same graphics for both of them.

Most of the items have the same icon for the recipe and the result. The major exceptions are when the recipe has multiple results, such as kovarex, adv. oil, and liquefaction recipes in the base game.
You can easily compare the two using the rich text in the blueprint comment area.
For an item, such as electronic circuits use the two options side by side:

For an fluid, such as lube use the two options side by side:

Yeah and you can select a recipe instead of the item in a combinators input and then be mystified on why it does not work. There are two identical looking icons with identical name for molten copper and molten iron. If you choose one in your combinator it will not match with the molten copper or molten iron signal coming from a fluid tank while the other one does match. This is either a serious design flaw or a bug.

I'd vote for design flaw. If they hadn't added the ability to control recipes with the circuits the recipe icons wouldn't be there and nobody would select the wrong one. Perhaps design flaw is extreme and 'oversight' would be better. The same icon pairs existed in 1.1 yet they were never picked in error or confusion since the usage space for one didn't overlap that of the other - except for direct typing in rich text and then I'm at fault for picking which one and there's no 'confusion'.

Since the just changed the icons for the tools, perhaps they can make the recipe icons somehow include the fact of recipe not item/entity/fluid. Cheesy perhaps, but just the extra "gear teeth" in the crusher recipes makes them obvious. Temp fix could be to add that to recipe icons.

Thank you very much! :D

as long as you dont have any other signal before that combinator you could also use each to make this more easy for you.
