Question about adding space age to an existing 2.0(?) save
I bought Factorio after Space Age came out, but without Space Age.

I've successfully launched a rocket (although still exploring playing with other game systems). I've heard that I shouldn't just turn on Space Age for my existing game because it "breaks intended progression"

Given that I'm on a post-SpaceAge release version anyway, is this really a problem? Does Space Age significantly change the starting planet experience?

It took a bunch of time to launch a rocket so I'm not thrilled about the time to restart it all.
Thanks

It is possible, but just like when adding mods to an existing save you will experience some drawbacks.

For starters, you won't be able to set the sliders for the things related to space age (not necessarily bad but worth keeping in mind).
Some parts of your factory will require a rework and you will even lose access to some things that are now bound to the new planets.

If you do restart, keep in mind that the progression to the rocket in space age is much quicker than in the base game.

If the progression is much quicker then maybe that's fine, thanks.
