Solid and Rocket Fuel not appearing in recipes in the chemical plant or the assembler.

I'm not a newbie as I've got over 2,000 hours logged and I don't remember this to be a problem ever before. Surely, I'm missing something but at a loss to what that is. My game is way beyond the early game, I'm at the stage of all the basic sciences, just missing the space launch science, But I can't seem to find the solid fuels or the rocket fuels for the jet pack.

are you running any mods that may have disabled them or locked them behind other research? i've seen players have missing recipes for a save that had been modded then mods removed.

Have a look at the recipes in your inventory, it should tell you at the bottom of the tooltip which machine(s) can craft it.

Jet pack? Any other mods? Do you have a "fuel refinery"? Aai Industries also has a "fuel processor" that makes multipurpose fuel.

Also, isn't rocket fuel crafted in an assembler in vanilla?

I hope the link works, it's my current mod list. More significantly although haven't played for almost a year, I've not added any mods. What's there has worked in the past.

Haven't checked the "fuel refinery, that may work but puzzllng why it's not showing up in the standard recipes. Solid fuel is made in the chemical plant and the rocket fuel in the assembler.

just discovered that the fuel processor makes at this time one alternative "processed fuel" that works in the jet pack. Could this be why, I can't make the solid or rocket fuels in the game with the AI-Industries game. I would assume that this fuel would also work with the Factorio assemblers that require the solid or rocket fuel?

I processed 100 processed fuel and checked to see if I could make a satellite which requires solid rocket fuel and it didn't recognize the processed fuel as an alternative.

When you want to double check recipes and chains in a modded game, helmod is your best bet.

You can look at the technology that unlocked the solid fuel and rocket fuel, and point at the icon for the unlocked tech. It should give you details on what the ingredients are, and (more importantly) what machine they are made in.
