tank turret aiming

Im pretty sure im not doing anything wrong. i'm in the tank, and im face to face with a spitting worm with my cannon selected. the turret is auto aiming away from the worm. how do i make the turret shoot the thing in front of me?

i press space and the tank fires to my 9 o'clock instead of 12. please give better advice

Press q to highlight the right gun
Make sure you have ammo
Press c or space, whichever one works

again, i have ammo, im pressing space, the tank fires to my left, not forward. I can literally see the projectile heading off in the wrong direction

Does it fire where your tank is aiming or your mouse?
Aim it in the correct dirextion

that question makes absolutely no sense. what difference does it make where my mouse is pointing? all the vehicle controls are on the keyboard. are you trying to say that the turret aims at the mouse pointer? cause it doesnt.

I haven't used a tank in a while
And if it didn't make sense you wouldn't be able to answer it
Nor did I say it, you specifically asked if you look

Anyway just press c while highlighting your target with your mouse

so i need 3 hands to drive a tank i guess... one for steering and weapon select, one to keep space bar down, and one for my mouse.

One for steering and weapon selection
Pressing c also works
And yeah you could use your wrist to press space

The devs know that vehicle control is wonky. But, it is servicable. Point your cursor at what needs to die, and hold the C key. No moving of the tank required.

driving a big circle around a nest and firing my tank into the middle of it takes more dexterity than i think it should, but i managed it, thanks for the tip

I'm starting to think you can't use tanks in sandbox... nothing shoots at all.

I changed spacebar to middle mouse button. Far less of a contortion to fire and move that way.
