I cannot figure out how to start power
I went from the yellow lack of power indicator to whatever that red power symbol is.
I've got power draining objects ready for power but they too have the red power icon.
2 steam engines 4 boilers the pipe in the water and they're all connected... I can't figure it out and there's no indication of what is missing. so frustrating!!!!

Do you have an electric pole near the steam engines and then eletric poles connect to the things you want to power up?
And you have fuel in boiles? (they boil water to around 100 degrees)
Did you have some power lines connecting the power source (the engines) to whatever your trying to power? You also need fuel in the boilers to heat the water that generates power in the engine

Yellow means unconnected, red means out of power/fuel

You should have 14 boilers to 10 steam engines, I would start with that amount. Also you need a water pump connected to the boilers and then the boilers connected to the steam engines. You also need to feed the boilers coal. Then connect the steam engines to the rest of the factory via electric poles and you should be done.

You are not generating any power at all for some reason. It seems you have all the components in place, but without a screenshot it's tough to know pinpoint what it could be exactly. It could be something as simple as no water going into the steam engines.

Basically:

Blinking Yellow triangle (showing power plug symbol) - your steam engines are ready but there is nothing connected that needs power.

Blinking Red Triangle (with a thunderbolt sybol) - No power available, only shows up if connected to a steam engine or other means of power.

I got it, but was on a binge ever afterwards and now its monday morning. Been a long time since a game has done that to me.
So yeah I was mistaking the sprite for the steam engine, I had the node on the steam engine aligned hooked up one block off so thats why it wasn't working. (It was hard to tell in my defense :p)
I did check out youtube and came to making this post, after that didn't really help the situation.
In sort, un-crossed my eyes, repositioned power setup and it worked like a charm, thank you for the responses.
