Current Game Version

I've noticed when I was looking for multiplayer games that people run alot of different Versions of the game. I got this game on steam and I run 12.29 and on factorio.com is says the last version of the game is 12.31 and alot of people play that.

Any reason for my game to not to update to the last version, or why the website says that version and steam runs this version?

You have to opt in (under "betas") to get the latest experimental version; otherwise you get the latest stable version.

Ah okey, I thought it might be unstable versions of the game. just seems like alot of people on the factorio forums use them. Thanks @AlexMBrennan
