How do I make batteries?

I need help making batteries, as I can't find anything on the wiki, or and discussions on the topic. I have all the materials to make it, I just don;t know what machines are needed to make the object itself.

Batteries are made at chemical plants. To produce them you'll need 3 chemical plants: one to make sulfur, one for sulfuric acid and one for battery. This information is on the wiki.

If you hover over the item you want to build then a tooltip will pop up telling you what components are needed and where it can be built (e.g. iron plates are made in a smelter, batteries are made in the chemical factory, etc). If the recipe doesn't show then you lack the necessary research
