There is a way to unlock it via a console command /unlock-shortcut-bar but I would recomment that you get through the game once first to properly learn how things work (unlocking that function normally in the process).
Yes i have been very very careful about spoiling myself the game. On my 3rd hour i was looking at an idea how to setup smelting because i had no technologies and i was kinda confused. I didnt know splitter belt excisted at that point so then i saw a picture on reddit.
I used the design idea for carrying iron and coal together but after that stopped looking at designs.
Ive been enjoying alot for 3 days figuring out how to construct my own production lines.
Even went to bed once and woke up in the middle of the night because i had a great idea.
But i do pop up here or on the wiki page for some technical information and clarifications.
Because id also like to be able to save my own setup which can help me scale and plan things better in the future.
Thats why i asked about this blueprint thing
Ctrl+V = paste
Also when you copy something you can open your inventory and place a "blueprint" into it.
Then you can also press B and open your personal blueprint book. Create a copy of the blueprint and put it into that blueprint book, and you can open the book in other games and copy it again into other games.
agree x2. it's kinda like you start the game off doing spaghetti for the first 30 hours of play, then do busses/generic builds, then go back to spaghetti again, but you're way better at it haha.
im nearly on 1500 hours
