Logistic Storage Chest / Circuit Network

Can i set a filter for the chest through the circuit network?
The first item who is in should be the filter.

You can only either read or set filter on logistics chests but not both with circuit network so I don't think it could work as you want.

I wrongly assumed that they worked like other logistics chests but no, you can only read their content with circuit network so it's even less possible to set the filter through it.
As far as I know the robots try to put items in storage chests that already have that item, I'm not sure if that changed (I tend to avoid using storage chests as much as possible) but it made robots go to long distances sometimes because the closest storage chest that had small poles was on the other side of the base.

why do you want to set what is stored where? perhaps we can find a solution to that.

If you have enough available yelllw storage chests, the robots will not START mixing, but once there is an item in a yellow storage chest they will prefer to make delivery plans of that item to that chest.

So if your intention is to keep items seperated in yellow chests, make sure you have plenty of empty ones.
