Changing weapons

I have both the shotgun and the Pistol but the pistol is out of ammo and i cannnot get the shotgun to fire. how fix?

You need to switch to a different weapon when you want to use a different weapon. Look in the controls menu to find what button it is.

I believe Tab is the default key.

I am on the third mission in the tutorial, and I build a submachine gun. It appears in the UI down in the bottom left. The tutorial said to press TAB to switch, but I cannot get it selected.

Update: Figured it out... need to move the ammo from the pistol to the rifle. Is there some way to stop new ammo from going to the old pistol?

Just remove the pistol from its slot.

And don't resurrect old topics, simply make a new one.
