You can also read the number of logi+construction bots in the network in the same way. I like to use this to automatically add bots to the network as necessary as the base grows.
Open the inserter UI, then click the little button at the top (connect to logistics network), & set whatever condition you want. As long as the inserter (etc) is within the orange roboport boundary, it can see the raw contents of that logistics net & enable / disable based on that data.
If you need to alter / process that information before sending it onto the inserter, then you would need to use circuit wires & combinators.
edit ~ ps, you can connect it to both circuit and logi nets, using 2 different activation conditions, and it will only activate when both conditions are true.
