Fast way to cut down a forest?

I started on a map with lots of forests, especially on top of my ores. Is there a mod for fast tree cutting? It'll be a while ever get to flamethrowers.

The Talking Heads made an album "Fear of Trees"...now I know what they were faced with. I'm gonna need a bigger shotgun.

EDIT: Just looked it up--NOT called Fear of Trees, it's called Fear of Music. Alas. Now I don't know what they were talking about.

Apparently you can do a lot of things (or at least attempt to do so) with various items in Factorio. I remember someone making a small comic pane on reddit on how Raw Fish can or cannot be used as armor, but I'm unable to locate the actual post. I'd do it if I knew how to get a raw fish! How do you get a fish? Actually, I was just looking at the fish and thinking of Chekov's Gun, but now it seems you can get raw fish! I bet you shoot them or bomb them? I wonder what you do with them? Alchemy? Maybe they'll bring in alchemy in later updates? Skyrim, here we come!

Actually, the ultimately cool thing would Elder Scrolls plots & graphics mixed with Minecraftian voxel worlds and Factorio style construction! Oh, and throw in VR/AR to boot!

That would be inconceivably unavoidable cause for "Shut up and take my money!"

You eat raw fish to regain a small amount of health.

(although IMO it's not worth it -- just wait a bit and you'll heal automatically)

I suggest you upgrade that to a double rubber band with no twists in the run. Also, blue rubber bands are faster than yellow.

Yes, but even though it says they can't be used as ammo, this data indicates they have a shooting speed of 2/sec.

So, is there an easter egg somewhere allowing you to shoot a fish? Maybe from a tank? Idk.
