Try to read the mod's page on https://mods.factorio.com/
It's the website version of the ingame tool so you will be able to find the mod with the name.
Usually mods have a relatively good description there.
You can also go to the key bindings menu to look at the bindings added by the mod, unless it adds some UI elements (buttons in the top left and/or stuff in the toolbar on the right of your hotbar at the bottom).

once you've loaded the save or made a new game, if you click on the "RPG" in the upper left hand corner of your game screen (or wherever you may have put it). Within that screen, in the upper right hand corner, is a gear, click on that and towards the bottom is where you select which spells you'd like to set. you have to click on the fish icon by those 3 spell options (at the bottom), it will open up a movable spells GUI. it requires fish to "cast" the spell. on the movable spells GUI, you must click on the fish and it will say in the command line that it is either enabled (green color appears under the fish on spells gui) or disabled (red color appears under the fish on spells gui)
Depending on your overall RPG level, is what spells will be available to you. On the above factorio mod thing for RPG, there's a picture where it shows the spells available and what overall level you must be to access them. i'd say the majority of spells can only be used against enemies (especially the shells, rockets, etc.).. the suicidal comfylatron is my absolute favorite, but that's much later. some i still haven't figured out!
also, you have to have your fish casting ability on (green on the movable spells gui) and hold a fish in your hand and "eat" it to cast. it's super fun, hope i could help a little
