Does anyone know a good rate calculator?
Hey folks,

i have a this https://mods.factorio.com/mod/RateCalculator rate calculator

i like this one pretty much, but for intermediate products it calculates the net use by the maximum. For example, i have a small setup for blue science. 1 blue assembler produces 77,76 green circuits / minute (has productivity modules). I only need 60 per minute. So i have a netgain of 17,76.

Now the copper cable section says i would produce only 311 copper caples of the 336 for my whole setup needed. But this is based of the 77,76 green circuits and my 30 red circuits. Not based on the 60 green and 30 reds.

So is there a mod that calculates based on the real usage in a specific setup and not the maximum the machines can produce?

Thanks in advance

I tend to use helmod instead of a rate calculator because you can set it to work with a specific final output (a number or based on full belts).
It's not exactly the same use since its main use is to determine how many machines and belts of each product you need instead of telling you how much your current setup could produce.
Helmod like above said, or factory planner https://mods.factorio.com/mod/factoryplanner
Which one you want to use is probably more of a matter of preference

Helmod.
It's not a matter of preference.

Factory planner doesn't handle fluid of different temperatures correctly.
Long-standing issue that requires a complete grounds-up rebuild of the whole thing to do right, and its author has been putting it off forever.

The temperature shortcomings aren't niche. Even Space Exploration uses steam at different temperatures and SE recipes that output "steam (165 degrees)" are deemed incompatible with recipes that require "steam (any temp)" by Factory Planner.

(Interesting stuff btw. you can mix a small bit of 5000 degrees steam made in an electric boiler with a whole lot of lower temp steam to arrive at a mixed, median temperature that is sufficient and in large enough volume to serve as a steam battery for a CME.)
