Mods similar to Industrial Revolution
I was going to try out the Industrial Revolution mod after watching a video on youtube, but unfortunately discovered that it is not available. Are there any mods which have a similar approach to IR?

It is nowhere near as extensive as industrial revolution but it helps to keep the "burner" phase for a longer period instead of just using it to kickstart things.

If you want a bit of complexity but not as much as bob and angel, maybe give a go to Krastorio 2:

This is the current version of Krastorio, a mod that focused on adding machines and resources but without going too heavily towards pure complexity.

It's not quite the same as industrial revolution but if you want something "different" without diving head first into the overly complex mods for the hardcore masochists it is well worth giving it a go.

Could you be more specific about the aspects of the mod you are trying to find in other mods?

Industrial revolution was a pretty large scale mod with multiple mechanics and there are none with all of them but depending on what specific parts you wanted to have it might be possible to point you in the right direction.

(It's sad that the modder was not able to deal with the toxic side that comes when anyone makes something successful, the mod was really promising)

It was really sad that toxicity made the creator give up on such a nice mod.
I really liked in the IR mod the progressing eras based on different ores and the initial phase being more dependent on coal burning for power rather than jumping straight on electricity. I also enjoyed the idea of having more intermediate components.
I don't know if bob's mods are the way to go because while I found nice to have more intermediate components, I don't want it to get too much complex.

This sucks, I had wanted to try it out. Heard about it long ago but never got chance. Well its internet for you.... stuff like this happens a lot.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
