What Are Some of the Best Mods?
For a while now I've been trying to get into modded Factorio.

I'm struggling to find mods that compliment vanilla rather than destroy it. Mods that change recipes, drastically alter gameplay, or don't act as a natural addition don't really suit my needs. Are there any mods that add content such as power production, new tiers, logistics, and other base game items that are found within normal progression?

If you have found any you like, please link some below! It would be of great help! (also, I'm not a fan of mods that put zero effort into graphics.. like oh my)

Here are a couple of suggestions from my Quality of life library of mods:
*GDIW (gosh darn it water); allows you to flip input and/or output of fluid taking buildings (like refineries) allowing for compacter factories without actually changing anything about the base game
*Squeek through; Allows you to move through connected pipes making pipe-mazes in the oil processing part of your factory less of a hassle to move through. Also doesn't change anything about the base game
*Early Nanobot; Allows you to build single fire construction bots that will function like their permanent counterparts. Don't work inside a logistics network and function based upon blueprints.
*Stone Waterwell; allows you to build just that...a big hunking stone waterwell which functions like an offshore waterpump with a reduced throughput and a more expensive cost.
*Landfill and or Waterfill; allows terrain terraforming by either being able to fill in water to create solid land (landfill) or the exact opposite (waterfill)....the costs for both could do with a little increase imho but they serve their function if the Stone Waterwell is not to your liking
*Senpai's QoL research; allows you through various tiers of research increase everything personal about your character without changing the base game. (think like building/collection reach, crafting/mining speed, inventory size, health etc)

Awesome list dude! Thanks a bunch!

I'm hesistant to propose this one too but I'll offer it up anyways:

Bioindustries

Though this mod adds various new buildings to the game with an eye on the ecological (it adds ways to grow trees, adds biological bioreactors and big solarpanels for additional powergeneration, airfiltering to reduce pollution) there's a slight caveat that it will slightly change the base game too. Not so much as in changing the recipes itself but more in the way you'll start to play the game. With the myriad of options available to you you can easily get lost in building a sustainable pollution free base and the addition of modules can severely augment this to the point you'll have a base that simply produces no pollution OR reduce any pollution created to nil.

If you're looking for JUST the tree-growing features of this mod then Treefarm (if it's still being updated properly) might be more to your liking.
