Angel's Petrochem again

This time it isn't something so easy to spot as the wrong gas type. I am trying to make the transisters so I can make the cuircut boards for blue science.

Well it is quite the procecss as you need silicon waffers, which require silicon plates, and one of the components to make the silicon plate is calcium cholride. To make this you need need Hydrogen Chloride gas, which of course is Hyrdogen and Chlorine gas in an Advanced Chemical Plant.

So here is where the problem lies... and I tested this to confirm. Cholrine Gas is a bobs mod recipe (well base and reworked in bobs) and requires Gas Bottling and Nitrogen Processing research and Air Compressors. Air Compression research is removed from the game when using Petrochemical Processing with Angel's mod....

So here I am, stuck in a rut, just over 30 hours into one of the best starter locations ever, and I can not continue. Is this an oversite on Angel's part much like the update with the motor recipe missing in the other days update or what?

Small question that can change the whole answer, do you also run bob's mods?

Because if you do, the cross-compatibility between the two mean that you can use bob's ores to make extremely easy to make silicon.

The main problem with angel (and bob) is that many of the recipe give multiple outputs, and are sorted in different categories, so it's very often that there are other recipes that make what you want, but it's not easy to find them.

EDIT: Also, both bob and angel have the same gases, but in a different "form", angel has a special "pump" to convert them back and forth if needed.

Yes, I am using both, I thought that was evident when I stated Angel's is removing a Tech given in Bobmods. We are also not talking about the silicon ore, I have everything for the recipe except for the Cholrine Gas which I can not harvest becuase I can no research Gas Bottling. There is no alternative to crafting Silicon Waffers or Silicon Plates.

So apparently GasBottling was also supposed to be removed since angel went with barreling, and the way of getting Chlorine Gas is from Saline Water.

Do note that I am not using the latest version of the mods, so maybe it changed recently, but here is the chain I use for the waffers:

I'll try to download the latest versions to see if that changed, but it might be worth checking.

EDIT: Yes, chlorine gas, like quite a few others, has multiple recipes, so it can be really hard to find what you want.
I find that the "what is it used for" mod is great help for that, not only telling you the recipe names, but also showing you the tech needed if you didn't unlock it, it saved me a lot of time for many things.

EDIT 2: I reviewed the latest version of angel smelting, and it changed a bit, the "easiest" that has the lowest output is with the quartz + carbon (the solid that you get from processing coal) in a blast smelter before just smelting and casting to get you the silicon plates.

I do not have all that unlocked as advance silicon processing is a blue tech and that is what the final outcome of this process is. I can get what I need through Water Treatment and Gas Separation methods.

I understand that... that was not the issue. It was the fact I was looking at a recipe for bobs mod that angeles mod overwrote when it removed bobs aircompressor tech. It has since beeb solved and I have the recipe I need to process the silicon plates. Thanks.

Angels supports creating Quartz from the various weird angels ores.

I am sorry you insist on trying to communitcate in a language you do not fully understand. For example, a racist discriminates against a set of people that share genetic traits that define their subrace (we are all one race known as Human) Calling you stupid does not make me a racist.
