Items not registering on logistic network

Wondered if anyone can help? On Fulgora I have various passive provider chests {over 200 its a mess tbh} with all kinds of items of different rarities. To sort them out I have set up requester chests to pick up anything uncommon or rarer, which is working some of the time but some provider chests are not being picked up from.

I then have requester chests connected to assemblers picking up those rare components to make things, but when I add the item to the request bar and mouse over it, it says there are 0 in the logistic network, even though I have provider chests with hundreds of this item. I have complete coverage with roboports, and over 1000 logistics bots. What am I not getting here?

Double-check that the provider chests are in the logistics area of your network and not the wider construction area instead.
I know it sounds stupid but it is easy to overlook basic things when we are doing more advanced stuff.

Fulgora being many "islands", do we assume you brought everything to a central island first?

When item is delivered to a requester chest then it is no longer acessible for drones and network. Use buffer chests to request items from provider chests + requester chests with enabled request from a buffer chests for delivery to assemblers or etc.

Your screenshot showed two logistics alarms at the bottom of the screen - what are the alarms for?

Ahhh this could be the issue, so I leave everything as is, add buffer chests and send all the quality items to those?

Correct. Just add buffer chests in between.

Bots can import items from buffer chests to requestor chests. Bots can't import items from requester chests to any other kind of chest.
