best way to clear deathworld 600% biternests?
im stuck at blue science and my copper is around 40k and expanding with flamethrower spam takes ages is there a better way? (tried with tank same sht xd)

When I played vanilla death world with 600% my priority was laser research. Laser towers for defence and armor with laser, shield, solar, battery to secure new veins. Wait for full battery and kill until nearly empty.
Still takes some runs depending on vein distance. Tower support helps too.

Grenades are pretty strong early. They oneshot small biters and can be spammed. Dodging acid and Fish for healing.
Landmines can also be used offensively. Those defenders are also nice, but need some bullet research

and how does that help with clearing biternests? with 600% settings the bases are huge and im already gettting only blue bitters

If you are playing Space Age you can always exile yourself to Vulcanus and limit the factory activity in Nauvis to defending your base perimeter. Then come back once you are ready to take them on.

Heavy on efficiency modules everywhere to reduce pollution -- that will slow down the attacks. Then a tank loaded with cannon shells (best you can get), and also have the tank equipped with Lasers and Roboport (to auto-repair the tank) and Energy Shield to go out and destroy nests that are close to the (now significantly reduced size) pollution cloud.

If the bases are really nasty, perhaps go heavy on poison capsules too -- worms will get wiped out with some poison capsules.

I don't know if you've ever tried using grenades to clear biter nests early if you need to ask how they help with that. Driving around with a car and tossing grenades is just about the best (and fastest) way to kill biters and biter nests early on before you get anything more effective.

From what you're describing you're probably already screwed. If you want any chances to survive heavily overclocked deathworld, by the time you start seeing blue biters you should already have:

- Found oil and set up an outpost to supply your main base
- Researched flamethrowers and crafted enough of them to set up a defensive perimeter around all of your important infrastructure
- Secured a decent chunk of the map for building a base, ideally with at least one additional iron patch because the starting one will run dry really fast

It's pretty much a race against time. Every minute means more pollution, which means more evolution and more attacks, more iron usage for early ammo, starting iron patch running out faster.

You need to play fast and focus entirely on getting to the point where you can finally catch a breath and start to move into lategame. Get a tank so you can clear out more nests and secure more copper, stone, coal, etc. Research efficiency modules so you can cut down your pollution generation, decreasing the attacks and evolution factor. Research bots so you can automatically repair and rebuild walls. And so on.

I litteraly have everything you listed up, i was asking what methods beside attacking with flamethrowers are faster/cheaper. i running out of copper and coal.

i dont have enough coal and copper to research rocket science to go other planets

Cheap is a bit different than fast. if you can't afford anything, then flamers are relatively cheap although probably not super fast. Maybe a handheld flamethrower or a tank with flamethrower. Or drive over bases with tank and better fuel (solid fuel or rocket fuel) Otherwise, landmines are good, and should be able to deal with blue biters. Drive-by the bases and spam landmines everywhere in reach. But its not exactly cheap.
Grenades are probably too late now, although you can throw them in the middle of a base and hit multiple spawners, but since spawners have more health with evolution, it's getting harder.
I never did a 600% deathworld, so good luck...

Okay, then if you already have a tank then why are you even asking this question? Tank is literally your best weapon at this point in the game and the best way to clear biter nest to get yourself a new set of ore patches. If you're having problems killing biters and their nests with a tank, then I don't know what to even tell you, try harder I guess? Unless you got really screwed with map generation and you can't find even a single new ore patch for one of your resources in a reasonable distance, you should still be in a good spot.

After you do that it's basically smooth sailing, you're no longer at a risk of running out of resources (at least not in a foreseeable future), and you have all the time in the world to get yourself all the rest of the tools to fight the biters. If you're playing base game, that would be a spidertron and artillery, and if you're playing Space Age that would be kitting out the tank's grid in all the best stuff, or just going over to other planets and progressing further.

I outlined all of this in my comment already, what more would you want?

Start making poison capsules to go with your tank shells.
Cover the entire ground of the nests with poison capsules as you drive around them firing the tank shells at the nests.
The poison cover on the ground will kill the worms and significantly reduce the ability to spawn new bugs.
You just need to use the tools the game provides.

you could always come up with a better way
but nobody else mentioned the poison capsules this time around, so I dunno
it's not obvious how effective that stuff is when you don't use them
why do you even ask for advice if you don't want it?

Pls do a video of killing 600% biter nests with a tank you can use everything in the grid that you can research with blue science. Maybe im just dumb (possibly yes) maybe you underustimate the base sizes and the amount of biters or im just a big noob that dont know how to use a tank. btw 500% increase of lifepoints for the biter nest because of evolution factor.

you're just a noob who's responding with attitude when people give you suggestions so think about what it is you're really here for
