copper cable produktion
what dou you think is the preferable method to produce them?
do you cast them in the foundry or do you produce them in the electromagentic plant?

If you want maximum possible efficiency you cast the plates and THEN make cables in EM plants. Just ask yourself if that extra multiplier is worth the extra footprint and energy use.

Ore -> Molten Copper -> Cable is
1 Ore = 1 * 10 * 1.5 = 15 Molten Copper
15 Molten Copper = (15/5) * 2 * 1.5 = 9 Cable
Result is 9 Cable per 1 Ore

Ore -> Molten Copper -> Plates -> Cable is
1 Ore = 1 * 10 * 1.5 = 15 Molten Copper
15 Molten Copper = (15/10) * 1.5 = 2.25 Plates
2.25 Plates = 2.25 * 2 * 1.5 = 6.75 Cable
Result is 6.75 cable per 1 Ore

Direct casting is 1.333x better, dont bother with EM plants, though EMP has 1 more module slot than foundry, so it can have more prod. Redoing calculations for that case might yield a different result.

(Every step is multiplied by 1.5 because of productivity bonus)

That's actually correct, direct casting is superior in all aspects.

its worse if you're trying to produce higher quality circuits because you lose out on one step of production but I think thats the only scenario
