Why so many people complain about Gleba?
It literally is TWO blueprints, one for single item input and one of dual item input.
Copy paste for everything you need, filter out spoilage, works infinitely and by itself.

Confusing at first 10 minutes, but super easy and actually great.

Bait, but other people's blueprints in a game about designing a factory is like playing a fps with aim bot.

Edited for clarification.

I designed the blueprints and found out you can just copy paste them, because inputs on gleba are really simple.

Didn't do them on the 1st iteration obviously, but got there relatively quick.
Now on to just make sure enough fruits and jellies are coming in.

It's because most players don't make blueprints. They simply build everything on the fly. And if a problem occurs they will simply try to fix it. But on Gleba a small mistake can easily lead to everything spoiling everywhere. and it simply is very annoying if that happens a few times.

Also, most players like to overproduce stuff to stockpile the resources for once you need them, but this just doesn't work on Gleba. You have to completely shift your mindset and must instead make sure to always get rid of everything you overproduced. Which is simply very different from how those players usually build factories, which is why they dislike Gleba since their way of building facories simply doesn't work anymore.

Playing a game about "designing" a factory, but not using blueprints...
You're doing it wrong.
Kohcoco Apr 30 @ 7:01am
I should clarify using blueprints from he internet and not ones you made yourself. I thought that was implied.

Yeah, I did the same - made one design for every resource made on Gleba and just copy-pasted whenever I needed more. It's all circles filled with biochambers now.

Why not paste your two blueprint strings here for us all to see? Would like to take a gander and see others designs. Thanks.

Gleba filters the weak.

There you go, obviously need to change recipes and sorters to match and you can modularly extend it if you cut the ending part and connect two of the same together, no idea how much loops help, but I like them:

there is still a reason to build specialised designs since they usually beat generalized ones in throughput, space and ups.

i agree though that the gleba hate is kinda undeserved. it is one of the most unique and fun planets.
the most tedious and boring one in my opinion was fulgora
Chindraba Apr 30 @ 5:54pm
Having yet to go exoplanetary, I'm thinking the most tedious and boring one would be Nauvis in burner-phase. Survive that and the rest of the game's intellectual. Rise to the challenge or not is up to the player.
I think the mixed messages are because it's the hardest planet to optimize but tied with vulcanus for easiest basic setup

Eh, I find that attitude a bit daft. Most of the time blueprints are only useful if you make sure your base is set up in a very modular way. I've onyl used blueprints for my smelter stacks (due to size and repetitiveness) and kovorax set up, because I couldn't be bothered redoing the circuit crap for each unit. As for each manufacturing set up I tend to do it on the fly.

That's the great thing about this game: It gives you a challenges, gives you a wide variety of tools and sits back and lets you solve it yourself.

I believe the design can jam if the bottom belt is input saturated and the items directly under the inserters have spoiled. It will fix itself after the item at the splitter has spoiled, but for some items that will take a very long time and can potentially cause cascading failures.
A simple fix is adding inserters to the opposite of the belt, filtering to remove only spoilage.
