I know that, i'm on about what was said in the final FFF.
Factorio 2.1 was due to be released approx 2 months after space age. Its over due.
if things get pushed back half a year because an unexpected amount of bugs cropped up then it is what it is.
Is it the limited control what, when and how resources are sent down to the planet? Is it the free rocket launches from the platform to the planet? The strange and unnecessary long platform travel list to get close to what I want (keep a certain amount of resources on the platform)?
Anyway it is close to ok but at the moment I am not saying hurray.
2.1 wish list
-The option to keep a minimum amount of selected resources on the platform
-Improved function for drop slots (anything but manual -> multiple rows -> multiple filters for one storage box)
I am about to mod it with other solutions that are more challenging (requires a lot of power -> so not free anymore -> better control on what stays on the platform -> cleaner travel lists and use the travel list as a travel list and not a complex resource delivery system)
factorio devs are nothing if they aren't deliberate with their releases. i'd be surprised if 2.1 is within the next year given what they said they were going to look into.
edit:
We will continue clearing the bug reports until even the smallest things are sorted out, or tiny things discarded, which will take around 2 months at least.
Once this phase is done, we want to start preparing the last major release (for the foreseeable future at least) for Factorio: 2.1
We don't know exactly what it will be, but some of the more risky changes related to mod interface, quality of life, graphical tweaks... basically changes too big for putting into 2.0 stable. But don't expect anything too huge like a big content additions, it will be mainly just finishing touches and/or cool little widgets allowing more contraptions.
