I just thought it was another way of saying, "unless you can suggest a mod that enables steam achievements with mods, I am not interested in any mods."
And recyclers/recycling is part of space age. So why would you not be able to recycle pistols while getting achievements?
Anything made by Wube Software in this case is not a mod, and is part of the actual game. Anything made by anyone else is a mod, and if enabled in "Mods" section of the main menu would invalidate any save played with that mod for steam achievements.
I honestly didn't think I had to explain how mods and the base game worked, but here we are.
It seems like you're the only one who needed the explanation.
It's plainly true, because you created the thread. And never answered the question he asked, just went on some tangent about mods.
EDIT: any more responses like this will be treated as harassment, and be reported as such.
And it still doesn't have anything to do with the question you asked, or the question he asked. Your question had nothing to do with mods and modding, you asked whether using the recycler disables achievements.
Edit: Also what if a game comes with something that isn't enabled by default and can be enabled in a mods menu and is called "example mod"? It is part of the game. And is made by the developers.
