No- what people were saying is that the allegations against Robert Martin were that he made misogynist remarks; but that the circumstances of those allegations were never concretely proven and likely a complete fabrication based on an incomplete representation of some anecdotes Martin used to present during conference talks - i.e. outrage fabrication.

Pretty much what you are doing now as well; except of course for the case where you might somehow be able to substantiate those claims of yours with real evidence that transcends the boundaries of "I know a guy who [..]" et al.

But also keep in mind -- even if those allegations were true, citing someone's professional work does not make you share their world view. Look up what "death of the author" means, in that respect. So whatever Robert Martin might've done or said, reflects in no way on Kovarex - and definitely reflects in no way on the entire staff at Wube.

Ironically, because of the tolerance paradox.
For tolerance to exist, the one thing that should not be tolerated is intolerance, or it will fester. Unsubstantiated claims like this are nothing but another form of intolerance, trying to create an outrage mob. And it should be countered and stamped out.

This thread is not deleted, or even locked, because Valve/Steam seems to want it here. They've already been here and even deleted a few posts, without any notice, yet left the thread intact.
