Pipeline too long
Has anyone encountered this problem? This didn't happen before. Is it possible to disable this feature?

no. its a new feature to do with fluid optimization. the devs considered the added inconvenience to be a worthwhile trade due to the massive improvement to fluid throughput and performance speed boost they got with the new system. you just need to put a pump in and then you can keep the pipe going. if you hover over a pipe you can see in the tooltip how long the pipe is out of how long its allowed to be.

just place a pump wherever it shows up (or multiple if you need to pump more than 1200/s)

You have to use pumps. In the new fluid system, all pipes in a network have an equal percentage filled. The downside is that, if your pipeline is too long, you need to add pumps to get the liquid to flow.

If you need to pump more than 1 pump's worth (1200), put several pumps next to each other, all connected on each side (but not across the pumps).

Well, before you had the pipe throughput go down based on the amount of pipe items used, it was a messsy system that was hard to understand and that made working with large amounts of liquids tricky (nuclear power, or oil when reaching a relatively large scale).
It also made long pipelines a very poor choice as you needed pumps very frequently to get a decent throughput.

The current system only requires pumps at intervals that are rather far apart, making it great for normal piping in your factory but also pretty decent for long pipelines.

Sure, it's possible to disable the feature; go back to 1.1.110

No, you can't turn it off. Just learn to play with it. The new fluid system is better because it doesn't require multiple pipes to satisfy throughput.

I would assume it's possible to disable by modding.

It's not a bug, it's a "feature". Enjoy it... Remember, if you dislike it, it's not a broken game but rather *you* are the one who is clearly wrong. </sarcasm>

To fix it, you need to disable all of the DLC that you paid for.

I hope you don’t stop posting, your endless whining always gives me a laugh when I run across it. Thanks mate. :)

in old version you need to count and calculate the fluid throughput and pipe length which is more annoying.

Perhaps there has been some threshold crossed, maybe even a quota of posts to make. Whatever the reason, there is no longer any pressure related to the assistant. In time, perhaps even a promotion to Diptee will happen.

They literally fixed what was broken before. Working with fluids was hell before, especially setting up nuclear power. Now my 2x5 nuclear plant need only two pipes of water going in, nothing could be easier.

Have you ever though that not being a completely awful person may change your life for the best?

New fluids are better and much needed otherwise 2.0 would not make sense to play through megabasing.
