Trying to revert to 1.1.110 to load my SE save doesn't work
I recently got a new computer and wanted to see how it would handle my very laggy SE save that I have spent a lot of time on. Some of the mods I used have not updated to 2.0. I reverted back to 1.1.110 and tried loading the mods, however now the mods that have updated to 2.0 require base of 2.0 or later. Is there any way I can get this to work? Or is my save gone until the rest of the mods can update?

I had a similar issue recently. I needed a mod to be 1.1 but I already had a 2.0 version of that mod installed. When I downloaded the old verson of the required mod it still showed the 2.0 verson in my mod list. After I deleted the 2.0 version I could get it to work on my 1.1 version of factorio.
In both cases I'm going to guess you also have the DLC. Steam's interface requires you to also disable the DLC before it will accept a down-grade to 1.1 versions.

If you want to be able to switch between 1.1 and 2.0, with or without, the DLC, you can investigate the option of using a Dual Factorio setup. See this thread for the how's and why's:

One other problem will be that the blueprint library has also been updated, in a one-way process, to version 2.0. The normal install/upgrade of 2.0 makes a backup copy of the library, but I don't know if Steam's process follows that or not.

The save files have a hidden copy of the blueprint library in them, and you can access it by turning off the sync of the blueprint library (not the sync with Steam but the sync between the main game data and the saved game data.

On the main menu hold Ctrl + Alt (or the Mac equivalent) while clicking on 'Settings'. There will be a new entry at the very bottom, 'The rest'. That opens a long list of things, and you are looking for 'bypass-library-sync'. Turn that on and the hidden library from the save game will be used rather then what's stored in the main blueprint library.

You can pick a specific version to download instead of the latest, the ingame mod menu doesn't make it all that clear (It used to be possible to pick there, not sure if it's still the case as I couldn't find it) but you can always do manual downloads from https://mods.factorio.com and install them manually (just moving the zip files to the mods folder).
The game will handle everything for you, nice and easy. In or out of Steam the process, after doing the downgrade of the game, is the same to get mods back to where you want them.

After downgrading your install to version 1.1, go to the load game menu and click on the save game you want.
You will see which mods were last used (top panel). White is loaded and ready, gray is not loaded, red is incompatible version loaded.
If it is not already all white, click on the Sync mods button top right corner of GUI (highlighted orange in the top panel)
The center left panel is what you can expect for a new install (old mods lost). The game will automatically pick and download the proper version of each mod. Turn of the Load game after sync option, It won't be done.
After confirming the game will download the correct versions and restart.
Go back to the load game screen and it will look the same as before. Click the Sync mods button again.
This time you will see the right-center panel where it wants to change the version of the mods loaded. Again, I recommend turning off the Load save after sync option. It should work this time, but it's better to check anyway.
After confirming the game will reset the mods and reload. Return to the load game screen and you should see what looks like the bottom panel. The Sync mods button is disabled. All the loaded mods match the save's versions.
