Will Krastorio2 be ported to Factorio 2.0?
This was my favorite overhaul mod.
I wonder if someone has any news?
I really miss that, will it ever be ported to the new version of Factorio 2.0?
Will it support Space Age?

When you go here:
https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Krastorio2
you find a link to discord. And I'm pretty sure, you'll find the answer there.

Yes, but there's no set date. You can find a beta version for Factorio 2.0 in the github. People recently asked that too in Discord, so if you need help with it, it's probably already been answered in there.

Thanks mate.
I wasn't aware of an existing discord.
I quote from said Discord;

Krastorio 2.0 plans
Hello @everyone, it's been a while! I would like to take a moment to discuss my plan for Factorio 2.0.

First off, a rapid-fire Q&A:
Will Krastorio support 2.0? YES.
Will Krastorio support Elevated Rails? YES.
Will Krastorio support Quality? NO.
Will Krastorio support Space Age? NO.
Will Krastorio 2.0 be available on the 21st? NO.

And:
Why no space age support?
Space Age has a lot of content that overlaps and conflicts with Krastorio. These can potentially be worked around, but it will be a very long and tedious process. Having played Space Age myself, I do not feel that Krastorio will fit in well without major and invasive changes, so it is not a high priority. Additionally, Krastorio does not support Quality, which is a hard dependency of Space Age.

Space Age is technically an overhaul mod, and players with the DLC can still play the base game. Krastorio, for the foreseeable future, will be a "vanilla" mod, not an "expansion" mod.
Is quality really a hard dependency on space age? Can't you play space age and just uncheck the qualtiy mod?

I haven't tried, so maybe I should just do that rather than posting.

To anyone else wondering. Quality really, really is required for Space Age.

That is caused by the fact Recycler is a resource inside Quality module, and Recycler is really essential for doing Fulgora.
So Space Age is really dependent on Quality
All the above is true, however the playing of SA is not dependent on using quality mechanics. The first unlock of quality is to research the tier-1 quality module. Do not do that research and all the stuff involving quality is ignored in you game, including the extra steps for picking signals and setting recipes in machines.

The Quality mod is a hard requirement, the quality system is not.

Of course, the Quality mod, and the recycler, can also be added to a base game, or any mod which does not have it as a hard conflict. Though adding it to a game with mods which didn't think about it when they 'upgraded' could have unexpected results.

Still don't understand what the mod author has against Quality mod.

Probably balancing reasons.

Space Age and Quality are both essentially game overhaul, mods, aren't they? Unlike, say, a parts mod, it's quite hard to integrate multiple game overhaul mods together, especially if they are optional.

The devs themselves didn't really try to do it ... they did break out Quality as its own mod, but Space Age builds on Quality and requires it as a dependency.
