It would probably take up less space to post my import string instead of screen shots, my Gleba base is up to 250/880MW with a grid that sustains itself through burners and overproduction, defends and rebuilds itself and can print and ship anything pre nuclear plus Gleba specifics and ship them without breaking a sweat. on 6 full farms. I actually only have to check on it now when I'm not using its research because the only time I've had issues is when its been too idle for too long.

At least one more puzzle yet to solve.
The joys of engineering.

The current solution is an engineering solution called military. Laser turrets surrounding egg production and a couple lastertrons camped right where they first see freedom for a brief millisecond.

My Gleba has run for weeks and never needs any care and feeding.

The spoilage can be your friend. Anticipating it keeps the flow unclogged.

The only part of mine that is a little weird is the iron and copper. I literally have a logic circuit to pull some off the belt if it stays idle too long, just so it doesn't need to be re-primed.

I have a sizable buffer space (of plates; I built it before I had foundries, for which I would use fluid tanks for the buffer) and what I do is turn biochambers on and off depending on how full the buffer is.

All of my bacteria cultivators are in a line, so if the first one is still going, it will automatically restart all the rest when they turn on.

I do not take credit for this part of the factory, I pulled it from the below link, but it works beautifully. It keeps live bacteria cycling on their own belts even when the ore usage stops, with dead ore being thrown through a recycler. That way you always have live bacteria no matter what, as long as your bioflux supply never runs dry.

Whoever came up with Gleba should be bitten. Multiple times.

No. Wrong.

i used 2 bacteria biochambers for each ore that feed themselves when the loop is running and when the loop dies (which it regularly does due to the belts backing up) circuit logic detects there is no bacteria in the better recipe and starts a biochamber with the 10% recipe to start the loop back up https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3401395840

Sooo many modules

That's a beautiful bowl of pasta, Engineer.

I opted for a bot based setup on Gleba, partly because I'm "gifted" and partly because I'm lazy.

Maybe in a future world, I'll try a belt build.

Either way, you're doing it right.

- Laziness is the mother of invention.
We are forever incensitized to work harder... just so it works by itself down the road :)

The nutrients and bioflux aren't requested while the belts are backed up.

Indeed. I've been taking my sweet ass time with Space Age, so I'm still on Gleba ATM. Everything runs well as long as I'm researching stuff that requires Ag Science, but now I'm to the point where I need to shore up the defenses properly. Walls and lasers don't cut it here, so I'm basically watching the factory run, seeing the attack points, and addressing them with Tesla/Rocket turrets on the fly.

I hated Gleba at first, but I'm enjoying the different line of thought it requires.

- I'm also taking my sweet ass time :)
- I'm on Volcanus. I'm trapped there :) Figuring how to go back to space :)
My spaceship keeps dropping carbon stuff to me :D
- I'm scared of Gleba

Don't be scared of Gleba. It's daunting at first because it's a shock to the system of a veteran Factorio player. The Pentapods aren't that tough if you have a handful of upgrades in the military side of things...the Tesla turrets from Fulgora almost trivialize them.

The challenge on Gleba is keeping things moving so you can manage spoilage. I didn't like it at first, but I've grown fond of it after 20 hours or so.

I found Vulcanus to be easy to deal with, especially after cliff explosives became available. I produce red, green, military, and metallurgic science packs there because of the ridiculous ease of scaling. Foundries are a literal game changer.
