Railgun shooting speed bugged
It seems that the maximum shooting speed I can get is 0.5+0.36. In my bonus screen says I have a 100% bonus in railgunn shooting speed, but I only get that 0.5+0.36

The railgun turret is capped to that speed because of animations. It is a known thing for a while now and so far I have not seen any indications of the devs changing it.

This is definitely weird, they made it an infinite technology but the effect is capped rather early.

Yeah. It is a little weird. But the tech also applies to the hand held railgun which does not have a cap.

Not that you really have targets where you can use a machine-gun hand held railgun against.
I mean, the turrets have their use against asteroids, and faster shooting would increase the damage output your platform is capable of, but the hand held version has very little use outside of being a nice toy.
Even the large destroyers go down in a few shots, spawners and behemoth worms don't even stand a chance even against a the most basic version of that weapon either.

There is pretty much no reason to keep researching this technology once you reached the cap for the turret (which happens at level 4).
No reason other than 'because'. Have to use up all those science packs somehow. Might as well make it a varied list as a monotone one.
whaaaaaaat? no way, the devs made a weird design choice and an infinite tech that isn't actually infinite? I am shocked!

Well it is kind of consistent to 1.1. You could research flammables infinitely but if you went over 10, robots that flew out to make repairs insta popped on ground fire.
