Solid Fuel Mountain
Has anyone found a good use for the mountains of solid fuel collected on Fulgora?

Outside of rocket fuel, not really. I just recycle it into nothing.

Outside of the rocket fuel for rocket launches, next best idea is to feed that (extra solid or rocket) fuel into heating towers (Gleba tech) to generate electricity on Fulgora. The number of accumulators I have on Fulgora is ridiculous.
Smog machines that produce electricity as a by product :)
just make a loop on your recyclers to get rid of excess, if you're trying to manage it with bots don't even bother cuz i did that at the start and it was a nightmare with fuel and gears, much easier to loop back after sorting and get rid of the stuff that wasn't used.
Alternatively you can make lots of rocket fuel and export it to places that might need it, you just need some light oil, i use solid fuel for my trains cuz there's so much of it.

Upcycle it for quality rocket fuel. Recyclers spit solid fuel back out so you can upcycle it just by putting quality modules in one.

Exactly so. Spare ice plus spare solid fuel = cheap power.
If its not pink, pinkish or exclusive to Fulgora, destroy it. After settling Aquilo the pink and the purple stuff all the sudden became hot commodities. And to get the pink stuff requires lots and lots of recycling. I tried to hoard it all I truly did. But its just too much junk to keep the pink plates pushing, I keep two boxes of each and the rest gets recycled until its nothing.

Could be fun to upcycle into rare/legendary so you can more easily produce legendary rocket/nuclear fuel.
For no better reason than to dump into a tank, or trains.

Disappointing that legendary doesn't get more MJ value. I guess that nuclear trains running legendary look faster. Certainly the thing to have for your personal shuttle trains. Seems like much of the 'uses' for quality end up being just because. Useful buildings, of course are a good use of quality. Legendary belts, as belts, are like "why?" "Because I can", seems like the only answer.

Quality belts are a sink for upcycling gears. Legendary belts are for scrapping for legendary iron.

Quality belts help make quality labs as well. Neither as part of the lab or as part of the chain for upcycling gears is using 'belts, as belts.'

I recycle it shortly after it comes out of the recycler from scrap. It's pretty easy to make solid fuel from heavy oil anywhere you want on Fulgora at the cost of some space (which is less than the space that a train station would take up).
I even got lots of epic/legendary rocket fuel from quality solid fuel. my trains are fast on Fulgora.
