Normal quality promethium science ship?
Anyone know of a normal quality promethium ship design i can use? Pretty much all the blueprints I can find are using epic to legendary assemblers, modules and other items that I really don't want to sit at an auto gambler or spend hours making quality farms for. I don't need a milestone achievement ship or a full shattered planet ship just something to make a trickle of promethium science. Preferably designed to return to nauvis on a circuit to handle the eggs in orbit. Don't care too much about the speed or size so long as it doesn't die. P.S purple quality asteroid grabbers are fine I know those are basically essential.

You are in post endgame content, why not set up a farm for quality? People who play this part usually try to maximize stuff so it's no surprise that endgame ships are using so much quality stuff.

Mainly as I'm not really a fan of the mechanic to begin with. Farming quality asteroid grabbers is already pushing how comfortable I am with playing with the mechanic. Dipping my toes fully into it is going to have me calling my GA sponsor.

That's too bad, because placing some level 1 quality modules into miners early in the game will leave you will dozens of chests full of rare materials to make it all with at the end.

Unless you are savescumming for better quality, it has nothing to do with gambling, just the law of averages. Think of it as turning 1000 ores into 1 high quality ore or something like that.

But it's your game and you decide how to play it obviously. Most endgame ships designs i've seen use quality like there is no tomorrow, so unfortunately can't help you with that.

But can't you downgrade them via the "upgrade plan" function so it fits your level of quality?

That might not work, as some designs incorporate the crazy bonuses from quality into the core of the design. Why have 10 rocket assemblers, if one legendary with legendary beacons can produce enough?

I personally didn't touch quality mechanics until I have achieved the 60K shattered planet achievement, so it is entirely possible to design a plain, no quality ship that can "win" the game. However it was struggling to gather any quantity of prometheum.

In the end I have given in and setup a quality sorter on fulgora, which produces quality componnets as a "byproduct". Not many, but enough for key items like asteroid collectors etc...

Quality weapons can be important on an end game platform for the extra range. If you use bots on Fulgora its relatively easy to set up a few quality loops and just let Fulgora do its thing until you need the high quality bits you are producing there. The only extra quality set ups you need after that are for planet specific items.
