Clearing rubble?

Is there any way to clear the rubble of old buildings? I'm quite OCD and my map looks messy right now! It's also very distracting to me having the old buildings laying around. (I'm still on the tutorial missions, rebuilding the old bases)

They vanish if you place something on top of them.

The ones in the tutorial missions are there to show you how you can lay things out so unless you already understand how things work you probably want to place the same machine on top of the destroyed ones.

You could give your buildings a concrete foundation, that way they keep the "clean" look even after deconstruction!

cheers guys - i'm using the 'place a building' and then 'delete building' method. It takes a while but gets the job done

Power poles and inserters work jjust as well but take way less time to remove so you could use those.
