Another simple and effective way is a stack of poison capsules and kiting the worm - about a hundred will kill the worm if you do not stop spamming them the entire time you're running it through the clouds.
Both of those need no imports or high research whatsoever, easily produced with materials sourced on Vulcanus itself.
50ish red ammo turrets are enough for a small demolisher. Did this multiple times too (with pre-Vulcanus research since I was doing Rush to Space on this save - low damage and shooting speed researches).
150ish red ammo turrets are enough for a medium demolisher. Did that twice so far.
Ya'll over-complicating ♥♥♥♥.
lmao I agree - I read their in game wiki and it says poison is their lowest resistance. I looked at the weapons and saw which one is poison. I made that weapon and used it, TADA!!!!!
People here are acting like they don't know how to read
As for killing demolishers of any size, without needing damage or shooting speed research, have y'all not yet heard of that glorious invention that Vulcanus bestows? Her name is Big Bertha. A train of ~120 arty wagons (less will do for smalls/mediums), loaded with, oh, at least a dozen shells each, ye olde targeting remote, and rebind to scroll-wheel are all a body needs. No turrets sacrificed, no luring needed, no huge power draw... just radar coverage on the target, a rail coil for Bertha that's in range, and a little practice with target leading and fire discipline to not badly overspend ammunition.
