Spidertron follow command removed? SOLVED
Until the update, the command to have other spidertrons follow my spidertron worked. Why is it gone? Will it be added back in update?

OK, it works. I marked the whole group and then shift+right mouse button on the spidetron they are supposed to follow.

Now I feel bamboozled because I could have sworn I tried this combination yesterday :D
Confirmed here as well. TIL!

You can drag and select a group of Spidertrons and give them commands.

They will all move.

I know this, but earlier you could have ordered the other spidetrons to follow the one I'm sitting in. I use it when building when I have two other speedrons full of materials with me.

Could you not also tell the spidertron to follow 'this' tank, or 'that' car? I suppose also a train, but the speed probably ruins that idea. Select and drag to form a squad is good, but still have to then issue direct move commands rather than 'follow' something else.

If it's actually gone, then I think that is an L change for sure... Being able to drag and select a group of spidertrons to issue commands is a nice addition, but, The convenience of having several spiders just following your piloted one automatically without you having to constantly put in new commands to make them do so will be sorely missed.

I'm sure a modder will bring it back soon.

Yesterday I spent some time wondering if this function is not only moved to a different key combination for example, but the option to follow has also disappeared from the "help window" when I hover over the controller.

I agree with Shurenai that a squad of autonomous Spidertrons following a manually piloted Spidertron is a must-have feature.

Just a brainstorm, completely untested. If the group is formed into a squad and then one is manually piloted, will the rest of the squad stay with it? That would, in one small instance, replace the follow command.

You can sit in one of the spidetrons and use the controller to ride with the whole party, but if you move manually, the rest of the party won't follow you.

Of course, I'd be happy if any of you could test it as well. Maybe I'm just delusional.

I hope I am, I really miss this feature.

The only place I have spiders right now is in a converted save. The follow command was on and they still follow. Based on these reports I ain't gonna break that follow command either. Sorry.

Make save, break command, see if can re-apply, if not, load save. :D

And, without a 'make' keybind, what would be the 'break' keybind?

There isn't a specific command for it, Just Issue a move command to one of the 'following' spiders. It breaks the follow effect.

Spiders in squad will not follow a manually piloted spider. :steamsad: Worse, the current population of the discord also has no answer.
