Can't search for Mods anymore!?
I mean I can browse the new ingame mod manager using filters and categories but I can't see a prompt where I can search by name. What's the deal here, a highly optimized software doesn't have the most basic option for finding mods? I mean, if you know what you are searching for you now have to scroll through dozens if not hundreds of mods, especially when it's a mod that is hard to classify and there not easy to limit down via filters. And if you don't find it, you'll never know if that means you it's there but you scrolled past it or if that means the mod isn't there (because it's not 2.0 compatible or something).

Maybe I am missing something here but this is highly disappointing. Was looking for that mod that allows me to change the lane inserters drop items.

ctrl+f or the magnifying glass icon on the top right. I have to say it took me a moment to find it too. Could have been made a bit more prominent if you ask me.

They unified the search interface across all bits of UI in the game.
The magnifying glass was already present basically everywhere else.

Ah, thanks, so I need new glasses ... but that's the farthest away they could probably place it

They just made the mods menu work the same way most menus in the game (like the settings menus for example) worked already.

It makes sense, but when you are used to the old mods menu it definitely takes a bit to notice that magnifying glass in the corner.

Yeah and I know why they did it too. But searching in the mod portal is such a big feature that they could have made a special case. Maybe even link it to the unified thing. Like if you type in one search box the same text appears in both kind of thing. Or even a "This is the first time you have opened this menu. Here is a screenshot with arrows and circles that points out all the important features that goes away after you press any button." And maybe a F1 to bring it back if you need it.

It's not a big deal, though. When writing this thread I already had the feeling that I was probably missing something.

Or if you start typing in the main search area, you automatically switch to the top right corner 'focus search' box. This is basically what browsers started doing when you type in the search box in the middle of their built-in start pages. It instantly transplants you into the address bar to perform an integrated search with the default search-engine handler. (Google, Bing, or DuckDuckGo for most, I assume.)

Yeah. Could be better but not on the top end of the priority list kind of thing.
