Older version wont load

So I just installed space age and would like to play my previous save but it has an outdated mod. So I right click on properties and load the 1.1.110 version but as i get into the game the latest 2.0 version is loaded. Is there a way to actually play the previous version or remove a mod from the save without opening it?

Uncheck the dlc from the dlc tab on properties. Then change the version on the betas tab and it should work.
