The DLC is an instant-buy for me... anyone else?

I have spent so much time playing Factorio 1.x for the original purchase price. I've followed the development posts and have been so excited to see how much more love and care have gone into 2.x. I bought this instantly as a thank you to the developers for making and supporting such a wonderful all these years, and I trust it will be well worth it.

I've had the money waiting in my steam wallet since it was announced. Bought it as soon as I woke up. Can't even play it for like 12 hours though.

Sounds good. To be fair, I'm not buying the expansion either. Doesn't seem worth it to me, but mostly because I disagree with the quality mechanic and the spoilage mechanic. And the only real way to vote with that is with my wallet. Not that they'll probably feel it that much with how many probably bought the expansion today. I hope those that bought it will have fun with the expansion at least.

That's perfectly fair of course. I'm not a fan of either of these mechanics either, but I'd be hard pressed to find a game that I agree with completely (and I don't think games that cater exclusively to me would sell very well).

The price is fair for what you are getting, and I very much appreciate that they don't do sales. It's not like the base game has lost value just because it's been out for a while. I'm stingy with my purchases, but this was a no-brainer for me. If nothing else because the original game has given me so much enjoyment that I'd be happy to just give them some more money at this point.
