Sattelite disappears in rocket silo

When I put a satellite into a rocket that is ready to launch, but it has no cargo, the satellite disappears completely and I can still not launch the rocket. Is this a bug or am I misunderstanding something?

That is how it works

With 2.0 they added a cargo pad. You only feed the Rocket Silo but not take items out anymore. Place the cargo pad and you will be able to launch the Satelite again.

Same here. Satellite just disappears once its placed in the Silo and Rockets don't launch.

It doesn't disappears, it gets dropped off from the output inserters.
Just replace them with filtered inserters.
