[Solved] Base game on GoG, DLC on Steam possible?

I bought the main game on GoG a decade ago. Can I buy the DLC on steam and it will work?

If not, is there a way to migrate from GoG to Steam for my base game as well?

Just buy the expansion on GOG, i bought my game directly from the Factorio site so i have a steam key with that and a separate download if it want it standalone

You can't buy DLCs on steam if you don't have the base game here, so no.

There is also no way to get a steam key for a GoG purchase as far as I know (which makes sense since they are competitors in the first place).

Buying the game on the website will also provide you with a steam key. Buying the steam version will also provide you with a registered factorio account that owns the game.

Steam provides keys at no cost to any devs who request them. They loss lead and eat the costs to get more people onto the platform. They may or may not deny it though for games with very low sales they suspect are fraudulent.

I am happy to report, that it DID work.

I linked my profile on the factorio.com to my steam account and promptly was able to get a steam key for the base game.

Then I bought Space Age (also via website) and entered the upgrade code and now received a steam key for it as well.

It even kept my savegames and mods (albeit they are probably mostly broken now, since 2.0 hit)
