personally, I considered Space Exploration, Krastorio 2 and Industrial Revolution 3 worthy of being a factorio stand alone DLC, playing them for free feel like a crime. respect to anyone who dedicate their time and skill modding factorio no matter how small or big their mod is.
There's so many of them, these days. It's a whole trend.
Factorio. Satisfactory. Dyson Sphere Program. Shapez/2. What's that cube one, like Minecraft... *checks wishlist* Techtonica! There's Cosmoteer, too. And that one actually IS in space.
I hope we can consider this thread a legal contract. If he doesn't deliver on Factorio 3.0 for free we'll sue him :D
Quite correct. To make a game on the engine without using the base mod, however, requires that the new mod replace all of the base prototypes which the engine needs to operate and which 'base' supplies. One of the devs even make a mod which can be used to replace the 'required stuff and gives the incompatibility flag for base. It has not, yet, been updated to 2.0 however.
Minimal mod allowing incompatibility with the base mod[mods.factorio.com]
yep 2.0 ia a free update so he only have to create alle the spirits for the planets, mobs, buildings, materials, and make it in severel planets.
it is totalay posible to rebuild the dlc as a mod.
but if you are talentet enough to do it maybe you build something different.
waist severeal years to just copi something that cost 30 bucks sounds not wise.
