I would think everyone would be happy that they aren't like most other devs/publishers that will sell you the content piecemeal. You want elevated rails? That'll be $5, each planet is $10..
I mostly play indie games (they're just more fun and flushed out than AAA games of the last decade) and this is by far the most expensive indie game. It's actually mostly the AAA games (or mobile but I'm not including those) that do "micro" transactions per individual item. Not saying the game or DLC isn't worth 50$, just feels weird paying that much for an indie game.
$30-$50 for an expansion has been pretty normal for a long time now.
They have a smaller budget, but put out a game that is inarguably higher quality than most AAA titles. And now they are putting out an actual, honest-to-goodness expansion and people are complaining?
I for one prefer the whole "expansion" concept to the "DLC" concept. I would not want to spend $10 per new planet (there are 4 new planets), $5 for elevated rails, $5 for Quality, $2 for the new tier of power armor, $2 each for each new weapon, $3 for space platforms. Yet under the concept of DLC I could easily see those prices.
Now, which is cheaper, buying all those things piecemeal, or buying the single expansion? WUBE, please TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!
