mods are also managed by the save file itself, so managing several different modded games is easy
also, satisfactory have a static world while factorio is randomly generated and we have full controll over the resources and enemies to fit the run you want to play

I need to check this out when I have time to do so.
I am traveling at the moment, so I can't look.
Having played at no more than 96 hours in Satisfactory and played over 1,500 hours of Factorio while planning to do hundreds more with Space Age expansion, I seconded this.
I have a unique understanding of software development. I have been through the 'how sausage is made' phase myself.
I agree that Satisfactory Developers made some poor game design choices early on, and it shows.
Now, don't get me wrong. Satisfactory caters to different kinds of players than Factorio does.
------------------------------------------------
This is slightly off-topic; I sincerely doubt that someone got red-bannered for talking about the smell of diapers and changing them.
Another thing, changing diapers, I have done more than my fair share in real life.
I am blessed to have a lack of olfactory sense, but it doesn't make changing diapers any easier as someone has to do it.
Satisfactory's trains, however, are barely serviceable, especially since you can't blueprint rail segments (I found out the hard way), Then something as simple as train stackers is also impossible because trains don't reroute to an adjacent free rail segment.
You can't have multiple stations with the same name. Don't expect trains to pick an available free station off all the stations with the same name as they are looking at some invisible station ID rather than whatever you named the station.
So, when it comes down to it, Satisfactory is nowhere near Factorio when it comes to building complex logistic train networks, and with the changes coming to trains and circuits in 2.0, Satisfactory will be laughably outmatched.
Do I want to build more aluminium production? Extend my rail network? Mess around with drones? Etc.
When I'm playing Factorio I'm thinking what do I need to do next? Get more iron mining setup up before I run out? Strengthen my defences so I don't get overrun.
