Some of the recipes became obsolete. (I may not be remembering correctly but I think electric mining drillls were a required component for one science pack and that was changed to something else.)
certainly the setups for smelters and circuits and red and green will be fine - and i suspect mil science, oil and blue should all be fine too
just be aware that as mentioned, some of the fun and satisfaction is in discovering setups that work well for yourself
i stopped watching this one before it got to stuff i felt i hadn't mastered yet - but even so i still feel i robbed myself of some satisfaction due to some of his builds being pretty much optimal - and so i often use them - while knowing i didn't discover them myself
same with some things i saw on a speedrun, such as the easy red science build
