But we all suck at it.
You're most welcome to suck at Factorio together with all of us.
The Factory must grow.
(couldn't resist)
Don't worry, nobody magically gets good at the game, even those of us that have several hundred hours (or even in the thousands) still have something to learn from it.
That being said, if you want advices on something specific, don't hesitate to ask since that's what this forum is for.
Steam says I have 3500 hours in it. But Space Age is kicking my butt.
For me it is sweet. Sometimes it tastes bitter. In most cases I don't like bitter. So I change it to sweet.
For example I can't stand that the nights are not dark. So I change it. Lights are underwhelming. So I change it. They use more power but the area they lit is much larger.
The game is great but not everything the devs like I like. Luckily the devs did understand that.
My personal motto for Factorio:
Try. Fail. Restart. Try again. Fail again. Restart again. Try again x2. Fail again x2. Restart again x2. Over 1,600 hours later of the above trying and failing and restarting... TIME WELL SPENT!
YOU WILL NEVER ACHIEVE IT!!! SUCH IS THE GLORY OF FACTORIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Over 4K hrs in, still learning/finding out things. SA is very challenging for me, since circuit networks are now a hard requirement to make space ships not be a grind.
I suck at circuit networks.
Also spaghetti for life.
I wouldn't say you suck at factorio. the tools provided to us is very lacking. for all the convenient "press Q" and the toolbar and the shortcut bar at the bottom, actually placing structures one by one instead of all at once is annoying. and for all the tedium that you do that, suddenly you notice something wrong in your build, so you remove them one by one...
the robots unlocking takes too long. would love to see a "starter build up to blue/yellow science" from nilaus, but that's asking too much i guess.
